Magnus Klaar joins RAILPOOL as Regional Director Scandinavia
Effective September 24, 2024, Magnus Klaar will join RAILPOOL as Regional Director Scandinavia. The seasoned manager will lead RAILPOOL’s successful and ongoing expansion efforts in the region. Magnus draws from more than 25 years of experience from the International and Nordic railway market, stretching from ABB Traction/ADtranz, SAB Wabco/Faiveley, Alstom and EuroMaint/CAF. Over the years, Magnus held various management positions mainly focusing on business development and market growth, which makes him the manager of choice to further develop RAILPOOL’s business in the Scandinavian market. His career has taken him around the world with the opportunity to experience many railway operations worldwide. During the last years, Magnus as representative of EuroMaint has also been a member of the board in the Swedish industry trade organization Swedtrain.
Magnus sees himself as a genuine railway promotor and aims to continue to contribute to the success of this transport mode. “The Scandinavian railway market is changing and, in a few years, the Fehmarn Belt connection will propel it even more. The Scandinavian railway network will be efficiently connected with the European railway network, promoting railway transport.”
We would like to take the opportunity to thank Alexander van Venrooij for his many years of contribution, shaping RAILPOOL’s market position in Scandinavia. Alexander will continue his excellent work as a Sales Manager, focusing on Benelux countries and customers in western Germany, which deserves his full attention in the growing company.
