Effective October 1, 2024, Nico Schönfeld will take over as the new Sales Director Central Europe, covering Germany, Switzerland and the Benelux countries at RAILPOOL.

The railway enthusiast has been with the company since 2021 as a Sales Manager and has been successfully working with our customers in Germany ever since. In total, Nico looks back on more than 24 years of professional experience in the rail industry, with more than 10 years of management responsibility as a department manager. The broad experience that Nico brings to RAILPOOL’s customers is correspondingly large: At DB Cargo, TX Logistik and RBH Logistics, he held positions in operational rail operations, fleet management and service purchasing, among others. Nico also has the professional qualification as a local rail operations manager.

Volkmar Günther, who previously held this position, is focusing on his management role as Head of Sales at RAILPOOL, which deserves his full attention in the growing company.
