RAILPOOL expands its fleet with 12 additional Vectron and 7 TRAXX locomotives

Munich, 16 December 2025 – RAILPOOL has acquired 12 Siemens Vectron A39 DACHINLB locomotives from DB Cargo. The newly purchased locomotives will be available for operation from February and further strengthen RAILPOOL’s position as one of Europe’s leading full-service providers of modern, cross-border-capable traction.
In addition to the Vectron units, RAILPOOL has also added seven TRAXX AC2 locomotives from DB Cargo to its fleet.
“With this purchase we continue to follow a clear strategy: to increase the flexibility for our customers across Europe and to meet our customers’ demand,” says Torsten Lehnert, CEO of RAILPOOL. “The combination of proven Vectron performance and adaptable TRAXX AC2 units allows us to respond quickly to market needs and ensure efficient fleet deployment.”
