• Inclusion of long-standing maintenance partner to complement RAILPOOL’s commitment to full-service from a single source
• Expansion of own workshop capacities to now six own ECM certified workshop locations across Germany, Norway and Sweden

Oslo/Munich, 31 August 2022 – The RAILPOOL Group, one of Europe’s leading rail vehicle leasing companies, took over Nordisk TogTeknikk AS (hereafter “NTT AS”) effective 31 August 2022.

With the acquisition, RAILPOOL expands its own workshop capacities to a total of six ECM certified workshop locations in Germany, Norway and Sweden. NTT AS and its 100% daughter NTT Sverige AB comprise workshop locations in Oslo, Gothenburg and Malmö. All workshops will remain accessible to all customers and locomotives for preventive and corrective services.

In addition to its remarkable inhouse maintenance capacity, RAILPOOL sustains an extensive spare parts warehouse and a constantly growing partner workshop network throughout Europe. Through the last years, the company has also opened further office locations in Austria, Germany, Italy and Switzerland.

Currently, NTT AS counts around 50 highly qualified employees who will all join the RAILPOOL Group. Continuity is also secured through the company’s former owners Einar Hageskal and Katri Hageskal, CEO and CFO of Nordisk TogTeknikk AS who both continue to lead NTT AS in their managerial roles.

Einar Hageskal, CEO of NTT AS who also co-founded the company in 2005, says: “NTT AS comprises more than 15 years of experience in preventive and corrective maintenance services. By delivering quality in time to train operators in Norway and Sweden, we have been very successfully developing our business at the workshops in Fjellstallen (Oslo) and Gothenburg, which allowed us to expand and open an additional workshop in Sweden last year.
